Situated in the ticket hall of Margate Train Station from July 2021 - April 2022.
A snaking display case filled with all the plastic collected from Main Sands Beach in just one day.
Designed and built by local creatives from sustainable materials.
The installation featured information about how and where to dispose of your rubbish.
The aim of the installation was to show how even small acts of littering add up to a massive volume of waste.
We also aimed to convey the love we have for our beaches, and encourage all those visiting Margate to “be a peach, respect our beach”.
During its time in Margate Station, the installation was viewed by tens of thousands of people.
